A staggering 83 percent of Indian organizations have experienced at least one cybersecurity incident in the past year. Web attacks, phishing, and supply chain attacks were the most prevalent types of incidents reported.
Nearly half of the Indian organizations that experienced cybersecurity incidents in the past year were hit with 10 or more attacks, according to a report by IT and cybersecurity company Cloudflare.
Cybersecurity Ventures predicts that global cybercrime losses will reach 10.5 trillion USD annually by 2025. This creates demand for more ethical hackers, also known as white hats, security professionals who employ the same techniques as malicious actors to identify and exploit vulnerabilities in systems.
