Sausalito, Calif. – Feb. 22, 2024

Cassie Crossley, VP, Supply Chain Security, Cybersecurity & Product Security Office at Schneider Electric, a French multinational company that specializes in digital automation and energy management with more than 168,000 employees and $34 billion (EUR) in annual revenues, is the guest expert on ‘Supply Chain Q&A,’ a new monthly series on the Cybercrime Magazine Podcast.

‘Supply Chain Q&A’ is sponsored by Sonatype, the company that invented software supply chain management.

Earlier this month, Crossley’s new book, ‘Software Supply Chain Security: Securing the End-to-end Supply Chain for Software, Firmware, and Hardware,’ which is published by O’Reilly, was released on Amazon.

Cybersecurity Ventures predicts that the global annual cost of software supply chain attacks to businesses will reach a staggering $138 billion by 2031, up from $60 billion in 2025, and $46 billion in 2023, based on 15 percent year-over-year growth.

“Crossley is one of the very few experts in her craft and draws from her years of hands-on experience managing these processes for complex organizations,” writes Emily Heath, General Partner at Cyberstarts and former VP and CISO at United Airlines, in the book’s Foreword.

In the first episode of ‘Supply Chain Q&A,’ which aired this month, Crossley kicks off by explaining what software supply chain security is, and why it matters.
