24 Apr Cybercrime Magazine’s First YouTube Video: A 60-Second Walk In The Park
This week in cybersecurity from the editors at Cybercrime Magazine
Sausalito, Calif. – Apr. 24, 2025
The Verge reports that the platform’s first video, “Me at the Zoo,” was uploaded to YouTube on Apr. 23, 2005. It’s a mere 19 seconds long, featuring YouTube co-founder Jawed Karim standing in front of a pair of elephants at the San Diego Zoo.
In a bit of nostalgia, the editors at Cybercrime Magazine revisited our first YouTube video, featuring Steve Morgan, founder of Cybersecurity Ventures and Editor-in-Chief at Cybercrime Magazine taking a walk in the park.
Morgan strolled through our hometown, Northport, a historic seaside village on the north shore of Long Island in Suffolk County, N.Y., which has been the backdrop for big-screen motion pictures, indie films, and TV shows.
We’ve made our own history with milestones of 100,000, 500,000, and just recently 1 million subscribers to the Cybercrime Magazine YouTube channel.
Here’s to you YouTube!
