Cybersecurity is evolving rapidly, and so is the need for diverse perspectives. By 2031, women are expected to hold 35 percent of cybersecurity jobs globally – an encouraging increase from just 10 percent in 2013.
“Expanding the cybersecurity talent pool to include more women is a strategic advantage,” according to Zola Schaller, CISSP, Director of Cybersecurity Compliance at Keeper Security, in an article published by CFOtech. “A wider range of experiences leads to stronger security solutions that account for the real-world challenges users face. Women bring unique strengths – analytical thinking, risk assessment and communication skills – that are essential in roles ranging from threat analysis to security awareness training and policy development.”
For women considering a career in cybersecurity: “You belong here,” Schaller encourages. “Your skills, insights and experiences matter. The industry is evolving, and with each new voice, it becomes stronger, more inclusive and better equipped to tackle the security challenges of tomorrow.”
