03 Mar Video Report: Women Hold 30 Percent Of Jobs In Cybersecurity
This week in cybersecurity from the editors at Cybercrime Magazine
Sausalito, Calif. – Mar. 3, 2025
Cybersecurity Ventures predicts that women will represent 30 percent of the global cybersecurity workforce by the end of 2025, increasing to 35 percent by 2031. Women held 25 percent of cybersecurity jobs globally in 2022, up from 20 percent in 2019 and around 10 percent in 2013.
A new video featuring Patricia Murphy, Vice President EMEA & LATAM Ecosystems at Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ: PANW) explores where we go from here in terms of hiring more women in the cybersecurity industry.
Cybercrime Magazine produced the 3-minute video, sponsored by PAN, the global cybersecurity leader and a major supporter of women in Cybersecurity. Palo Alto Networks and Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) joined forces in 2017 to launch the first-ever national cybersecurity badge program. Hundreds of thousands of girls in K-12 have since earned badges.
