This week the award-winning Cybercrime Magazine YouTube channel aka “Cybercrime TV” released its first skit video, a 30-second comedy scene about a security nudge.

“The skits will exaggerate real-life cybersecurity situations and social behaviors relating to them,” says Steve Morgan, Editor-in-Chief at Cybercrime Magazine. “Humor is a great way to draw attention to the critically important subject matter we cover, and to help engage employees in building their cyber defenses.”

“The idea came from our cartoons,” adds Morgan. “We came up with gags and published around 200 cybersecurity cartoons that quickly became very popular. All types of organizations globally, from small-to-midsized businesses (STMs) to Fortune 500 companies, have used our cartoons for posters, in newletters, and for other security awareness training programs.”

Taylor Fox, senior social media manager at Cybercrime Magazine, is the lead character, and she’ll appear in most of the skit videos, alongside our other employees. “Taylor is super-smart, she has a really good sense of humor, and a relatable personality,” says Morgan. “Plus, she’s an employee who had to learn a lot about cybercrime, scams, social engineering, and all the rest that we cover, quickly, because we’re a media outlet.”
