With the global average cost of a data breach now at $4.4 million, AI in cybersecurity is not merely a technological advancement but an economic imperative. It has already compressed threat analysis from minutes to milliseconds, offering protection at scales previously unimaginable. Yet these benefits introduce new risks; adversaries exploit these same systems through sophisticated data poisoning and adversarial AI tactics.

Effective AI-driven cybersecurity fundamentally depends upon skilled human oversight. However, America currently faces a critical cybersecurity talent shortage, with over 500,000 cybersecurity positions unfilled nationwide. Without strategic interventions, even advanced cybersecurity solutions risk faltering due to insufficient human capacity.
